Since 2015 we have consistently empowered young people for ethical leadership and community development. We have reached over 12,500 youths with diverse types of programs ranging from workshops, and conferences to fellowship programs. Below are the reports of some of these programs over the years—

2021/2020

Youth in Development Boot Camp 2021 Report

The Youth in Development (2021) virtual boot camp received about 2079 applications from 21 countries in Africa. The application was accessible from the 6th of December 2021 until the 20th of January 2021. 115 participants from 14 countries in Africa were accepted for the program. 10 volunteers worked directly with the Sozo Networks team for the duration of the boot camp


2020 Annual Report

The COVID 19 pandemic drastically affected our ability to meet all our goals for the year. Despite the restrictions and changes in the international development space, we found new ways to reach our audience. We made an impact in new ways and grew in an unprecedented manner. This 2020 annual report is a story of how we made lemonade out of lemon, showed resilience, and adapted to the year’s challenges.

SAFE CONFERENCE ABUJA

The maiden edition of the SAFE Conference in Abuja held on the 16th of November 2019. The conference hosted about 50 teenage leaders and the sessions were focused on showing insightful ways in which teenagers can play a role in Global Development.


Youth in Development Boot Camp 2019

This project provided 200 youths in Nigeria with the information, skills, and support required to effectively lead sustainable initiatives, capable of promoting democracy and social-economic growth in Nigeria. The project was implemented by the Sozo Networks and was sponsored through grant funding by the United States Embassy, Abuja.


SAFE Academy Report 2019

The Sozo networks welcomed the 7th cohort of teenage leaders to her SAFE Leadership Academy on the 19th to 31st of August 2019 in Ibadan


SAFE Conference Ibadan 2019

The report of the 5th edition of Securing Africa’s Future through Education in Ibadan themed SAFE Conference 2019: Upgrade.

Social Impact Strategy Boot Camp 2018/2019

The Strategy Boot Camp held in three major locations in Nigeria, which are Ibadan, Lagos and Abuja. These locations are known for accommodating a large percentage of youths in Nigeria. The SOZO Networks decided to change the tide scale by focusing on grass-roots and emerging social sector leaders.

SAFE Conference Ibadan 2018

The SAFE Conference, organized by the Sozo Networks, is believed to be the biggest leadership and career conference for teenagers in Oyo State. It prepares them for life, career and leadership before they turn 18. This is the 4th edition of the conference”
